Crane Sighting at Under Construction 12 Story Cambria Suites Hotel in Anaheim Resort

Located in City of Anaheim's Anaheim Resort district, Choice Hotels International, Inc. with Nexus Companies is constructing a 12 story Cambria Suites hotel with 352 hotel rooms.

The triangle shaped project site consisting of 5.89 acres is bounded by Anaheim Boulevard, East Katella Avenue, and Manchester Boulevard is now under construction. A construction crane has been installed at the project site which can be seen from a far distance:

According to Nexus, once completed, the under construction hotel will include, "...an approx. 30,000 sf waterpark with multiple water slides, pop-up jets, splash pads, kiddie pool and full size pool along with a movie wall, BBQ areas, putting green, sports court, arcade, fitness center, meeting space, breakfast buffet, and small plate bar/restaurant" 

 The project will also bring restaurant space that totals 15,000 square feet. 

 According to city records, the project had revision in its elevations and materials. Indeed, the previous and current renderings show differences:

Estimated completion date is late 2018.

The Anaheim Resort area and adjacent has been seeing an increase in high rise hotel developments with a 12 story JW Marriott at Gardenwalk under construction, planned Westgate Timeshare at Gardenwalk, and a proposed 14 story hotel at 1601 S Anaheim Boulevard.
